Validation of Space and Occupancy Data:

Validation of Existing Occupancy Information – Furniture and Architecture Accuracy; Vacancy Status; and Space Identification Numbers

Limited Scope:

In the field, walk the space to confirm the accuracy of existing architectural and furniture floor plans; where changes are noted, take sufficient measurements to update the existing master occupancy drawings to reflect “as built” conditions (or for larger changes, take sufficient details to assist the client’s real estate team in tracking down project drawings to capture the changes); validate that existing space identification signage is present at all seats, and matches the drawing numbering scheme at vacant seat locations; photograph typical posted signage and review for adherence with the existing corporate space numbering standard; perform “sign of life” walk-through to identify changes in occupancy status – formerly occupied seats that appear vacant, and previously vacant seats that appear occupied; collect the name and/or ID number of users where existing vacant seats appear to be occupied; update master occupancy drawings, and populate data import templates to update master data records.

Detailed Scope:

As above, but with name collection and validation at every seat, and with space identification numbers being validated for every seat. At the client’s direction, infill any missing signage using an approved numbering scheme, and/or post all new signage based on corporate standard grid numbering sequences. Update master occupancy drawings and prepare data import templates as required to update master data records in the Space and Occupancy Data, IWMS, or CAFM system of record.
